Mezzanine Finance
If a developer’s project capital requirements surpass what senior funders are willing to offer, we can provide additional second-ranking loans to meet your funding requirements. Mezzanine or “gap” funding ranks behind the senior loan but ahead of your equity. While mezzanine finance is typically more expensive than senior finance, it can deliver the extra capital necessary to get your project moving.
Successful developers often turn to mezzanine finance once their projects are de-risked through development approvals (DA) and achieved pre-sales. However, mezzanine financing can also be used to fund land settlements, finalise designs and approvals, or support sales and marketing efforts to secure pre-sales.
